Full List of 176 Illegal Estates in Lagos

The Lagos State Government (LASG) has identified 176 illegal estates operating without approved layouts. These estates were listed in a document published by the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development on Monday. The government has given developers a 21-day ultimatum to obtain the necessary layout approvals.

According to Engr. Oluwole Sotire, the Permanent Secretary, said these estates undermine the T.H.E.M.E.S+ Agenda, which aims to create sustainable and organised development in Lagos. The Ministry has a responsibility to regulate estate developments and ensure they meet the state’s planning standards.

Developers must process their layout approvals within the next 21 days to avoid penalties or demolition. This move is part of the government’s effort to ensure proper urban planning in Lagos.
