Hilda Baci Breaks 3rd Guinness Record with Giant Jollof Rice Pot
Nigerian celebrity cook, Hilda Baci, has become a three-time Guinness World Records (GWR) title holder, adding yet another outstanding accomplishment to her expanding list of international honors.
Baci collaborated with the food company, Gino, to prepare an incredible 8,780 kg pot of Nigerian-style jollof rice on September 2025 at Victoria Island, Lagos.
Initially, Guinness recognized this feat as the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice. However, it has now affirmed that it also satisfies the requirements for the largest serving of rice.
In an email dated January 16, 2026, Guinness World Records notified Baci of the extra milestone.
It stated that it was evident the September attempt qualified for both titles when the record guidelines for the two categories were examined.
Baci announced the organization’s statement on her X account.

With this most recent honour, Baci now holds three Guinness World Records. She achieved her first record and gained international recognition when she completed a 93-hour cooking marathon in May 2023.
Her second accomplishment was the giant jollof rice, and the most recent one gives her a world record for rice.
Over 16,600 plates of jollof rice were served from the big pot. Baci mentioned the accomplishment was a team effort, giving gratitude to her partners for their part in organizing and carrying out the event.
With this confirmation, Hilda Baci has once again brought Nigerian food and the nation to the attention of the world, honouring its magnitude and its cultural value.
