Isaac Bristol ‘PIDOM’ Released on Bail
Isaac Bristol Tamunobifiri, also known as PIDOM Nigeria, has been granted bail. He was charged by the Inspector-General of Police and appeared in the Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday, September 27.
Previously, Justice Emeka Nwite had denied him bail. Police spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi stated that PIDOM illegally accessed and shared restricted data from the office of the Inspector-General of Police. Adejobi also accused him of raising funds for cyberterrorism.
The charges against PIDOM include criminal conspiracy, breaking the Official Secrets Act, leaking sensitive documents, causing public unrest, sedition, fraud, and tax evasion.
Rights activist Omoyele Sowore, leader of the #RevolutionNow movement, announced on Twitter on September 27 that Isaac Bristol was granted bail.
