JAMB to Set 2025 UTME Mop-Up Exam Date
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will shortly release the date for its 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up session.
This follow-up exam is being organised for candidates who were unable to sit the main test due to biometric verification failures, as well as those registered at JAMB’s eight overseas centres.
According to the board’s weekly bulletin, the mop-up will also accommodate candidates who missed their initial exam for acceptable-but previously unexcused-reasons and were subsequently pardoned.
“The date for the mop-up examinations for candidates who missed their 2025 UTME scheduled examination will be announced shortly,” the bulletin stated. “This includes candidates whose biometrics failed during verification, those registered to take the examination at the Board’s eight foreign centres, and others in similar situations.”
JAMB had earlier conducted a resit for candidates who encountered technical issues in Lagos and the South-East. While no specific date has yet been confirmed, the bulletin reassured students that the mop-up timetable will be published before the end of the month.
Candidates are urged to ignore unverified social-media reports about potential exam dates. JAMB emphasises that only its official channels will carry the confirmed schedule once it is finalised.
