JAPA: Nigerian Government Warns Citizens Travelling to UK
The Nigerian government has issued a warning to its citizens who are planning to travel to the United Kingdom. This warning was announced on Monday and comes after recent riots in the UK have led to increased violence and disorder.
The spokesperson for the Minister of Interior, Amb. Eche Abu-Obe, signed the statement that urges Nigerians to be very careful if they decide to travel to the UK. The statement points out that there is a higher risk of running into violence because of the unrest.
Nigerians travelling to the UK are advised to avoid any political gatherings like protests, rallies, or marches. They are also advised to stay away from crowded places and large events where there might be a lot of people.
This travel alert is meant to keep Nigerian travellers safe while they are abroad, especially in areas where there might be trouble.
The government is asking everyone to keep in touch with the Nigerian embassy in the UK and to follow updates closely during their trip.
