Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s Luxury Yacht Linked to Alison-Madueke, Sowore Claims

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the  2023 elections and a publisher of Sahara reports, has made a surprising claim.

He says that Diezani Alison-Madueke, who used to be the Minister of Petroleum Resources and is now facing scandals, owns a fancy yacht. 

This yacht isn’t just sitting around; it’s being rented out to famous people, including the American celebrity couple, Jay-Z and Beyoncé.

“All the revelations that came out of the Diezani story by now, should have become a movie. Buying a yacht with the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s money, riding it around, and renting it out to Jay-Z and his wife, Beyoncé. I think that is more brazen.” He said.

This news came out in a sneak peek of Chude Jideonwo’s soon-to-be-released documentary, Is It Your Money? The Story of Deziani Alison-Madueke.

 Sowore, who used to lead a student union, pointed out that this luxurious yacht tells part of a bigger story that hasn’t been fully told yet.

He also shared his surprise about why Nollywood hasn’t yet made a movie showing the former minister’s alleged wrongdoings.

Background of Allegations Against Diezani Alison-Madueke

Diezani Alison-Madueke was the first woman to serve as Nigeria’s Minister of Petroleum Resources from 2010 to 2015. 

During her time in office, she was accused of corruption and poor financial management by EFCC and the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA).

These organizations have accused her of various crimes, including misappropriation of funds, bribery, and corruption during her tenure as Minister of Petroleum Resources.

Financial Misuse

Reports claim that Alison-Madueke took billions of dollars from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) during her time as minister. She is accused of moving large amounts of public money for her own use.

Properties and Assets Abroad

Investigations show that Alison-Madueke likely owns many expensive properties and assets in other countries, bought with money obtained illegally. This includes high-end homes in the UK and the USA.

Money Laundering Charges

Both Nigerian and international authorities have accused Alison-Madueke of money laundering. The UK’s National Crime Agency arrested her in 2015 during an investigation into corruption and money laundering.

Connections with Powerful People

Her connections with important political and business people have also been examined. These relationships reportedly helped her carry out her corrupt activities, including moving funds to private accounts and buying properties worldwide.
