Lagos Opens Fresh Registration for Poor & Vulnerable Households — Here’s How to Register
Lagos State has begun a new round of data capture to enrol poor and vulnerable households that were missed in its earlier database, aiming to strengthen social protection and welfare delivery across all 57 LGAs/LCDAs.
The exercise is coordinated by the Ministry of Economic Planning & Budget under Commissioner Ope George, and was launched at Ajibola Community Development Area (CDA) in Ikosi–Isheri LCDA, Kosofe.
At the flag-off, the ministry reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring support reaches residents who need it most and said the fresh registration will close gaps from the previous exercise.
What’s new
- Fresh enrollment window: Targets households not captured previously.
- Single Social Register linkage: The updated list will feed into the Lagos State Single Social Register (LASSR)—Lagos’s subset of the National Social Register, used to deliver targeted assistance.
- NIN integration: The ongoing integration with National Identification Number (NIN) is meant to improve accuracy, reduce duplication, and speed up delivery of benefits.
