Landmark Beach Starts Giving Money Back on App After Demolition

Landmark Africa, the parent company of Landmark Resort Beach, announced the commencement of the refund process through its Landmark Citizen App. The company earlier announced on Wednesday, the temporal deactivation of its app, while explaining that the refund process would commence soon. Also, urged the customers to be patient as they found their way through the refund requests.

According to them, the sheer volume of inquiries necessitates a thorough and diligent approach to ensure that all refund requests are processed efficiently. However, the management then stated that the app was restored, and the mobile application initiated the refund process.

The management states, “Dear Landmark Citizens, we would like to assure you all that we have started issuing refunds to those who requested a refund of their money on the Landmark Citizen App.

“Please be patient with us, due to the volume of requests, this process will take some time.

“Be rest assured that all refund requests will be processed. Thank you all for your support and patience,” the management said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Backdrop of the demolition

The demolition of Landmark Beach has stirred a whirlwind of emotions among stakeholders, from dismay to outrage. CEO Paul Onwuanibe’s impassioned plea to the Federal Government to reconsider the coastal road project fell on deaf ears, resulting in the irreversible loss of cherished structures and livelihoods.

Despite Minister of Works David Umahi’s justifications citing the Federal Government’s Right-of-Way, the visual evidence of destruction paints a poignant picture of loss.

Cabanas, football turf, and the beloved Breeze Beach Club have all fallen victim to the wrecking ball, leaving behind a void in the hearts of many.
