Meet Nigeria’s Youngest King: HRH Akubuisi Okonkwo

A Monarch at Just 10 Years Old

HRH Akubuisi Okonkwo ascended the throne on January 7, 2021, at the age of 10, succeeding his late father, His Royal Highness Igwe Onyeachonam Okonkwo, the Olanme I of Iyiora Anam. He now reigns as the Olanme II of the Iyiora Anam Kingdom, located in Anambra West Local Government Area, Anambra State.  

Despite his young age, King Akubuisi has displayed remarkable maturity and vision. With the guidance of elders and advisors who worked closely with his father, he quickly learned the wisdom and skills required for rulership.

Now 13 years old, HRH Akubuisi Okonkwo is celebrated as one of the most courageous kings in Nigeria. His reign represents a new era of leadership that blends tradition with youthful energy.
