Morayo Afolabi-Brown Bows Out of ‘Your View’ After 12 Years on TVC

After over a decade of shaping conversations on national issues and championing women’s voices on daytime television, Morayo Afolabi-Brown is stepping away from Your View, the popular all-women talk show on TVC.

Her departure, confirmed by TVC Communications, marks the end of a powerful era in Nigerian media.

Morayo, who also serves as the Managing Director of TVC Entertainment, will officially leave the organisation on Thursday, August 29, 2025.

Her decision, according to the company, is rooted in her desire to fully commit to a long-held passion project, one that has quietly evolved in the background of her vibrant media career.

For 12 years, Your View wasn’t just another talk show. It became a staple for many Nigerians, a safe space where difficult topics were unpacked, diverse perspectives were welcomed, and national headlines were filtered through the lens of everyday people.

At the centre of that energy was Morayo: calm, sharp, thoughtful, and deeply connected to her audience.

Her exit was announced in a statement released by TVC Communications through its PR Manager, Edward Akintara, who praised Morayo’s legacy and the imprint she leaves behind.

“Morayo has chosen to step down in order to fully dedicate herself to a passion project she has nurtured over the years,” the statement read, noting that although her absence will be felt, Your View will continue to serve audiences with the same relevance and rigour it has become known for.

Over the years, Morayo’s leadership helped grow Your View into one of the most influential talk shows in the country, particularly among women.

Her on-screen grace, firm moderation, and fearless engagement with controversial topics earned her both admiration and criticism, the kind that often follows women who dare to take up space and lead with conviction.

Beyond the screen, she held multiple roles within the TVC Communications group, contributing to its expansion across television and radio platforms including Max FM, Adaba FM, and Yanga FM.

As news of her resignation spreads, fans and colleagues alike are pouring in their tributes, not just for the professional she was, but for the authenticity she brought to daytime television.

While details of her new venture remain private, many expect it to reflect the same heart and impact she brought to her media journey.

TVC Communications has urged the public to continue showing her the same respect and support she has earned over the years, while reaffirming its commitment to maintaining the quality and spirit of Your View moving forward.
