The much-anticipated Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti Film is set to make its debut in cinemas nationwide on May 17, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). This biographical film has generated a buzz in the entertainment industry, highlighting the remarkable life of Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, a pioneering Nigerian educator, political campaigner, and women’s rights activist. 

Adding a personal touch, the movie features her grandchildren, Femi Kuti and Yeni Kuti, in pivotal roles, making it a family affair that brings her legacy to life.

Directed by Bolanle Austen-Peters and written by Tunde Babalola, the Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti Film stars some of Nigeria’s finest actors, including Kehinde Bankole, Ajoke Silva, Adunni Ade, Adebayo Salami, Omowunmi Dada, Jide Kosoko, Dele Odule, Ibrahim Suleiman, Bikiya Graham-Douglas, Yewande Osamein, and Iyimide Ayo-Olumoko.
