Nigerians Can Now Convert Naira to Dollars on Flutterwave
Nigerians looking for an easier way to change Naira to dollars now have a new option. Flutterwave, one of Africa’s biggest payment technology companies, has added a foreign exchange (FX) service called Swap to its Send App.
This means users can now convert Naira to US dollars, British pounds, and euros directly on the app.
How it works
The Swap feature allows Nigerians to exchange their Naira for foreign currencies at competitive rates. The process is designed to be simple, fast, and secure. Whether you need to send money abroad for medical expenses, support family members, or pay school fees for children studying overseas, Swap makes it possible.
This service is authorized by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and operates in partnership with Kadavra BDC and Wema Bank to ensure smooth and legal transactions.
Why this matters
For a long time, Nigerians have faced difficulties getting foreign currencies. Businesses and individuals struggle with exchange rate fluctuations, bank restrictions, and high fees when trying to send money abroad. With Swap, these problems become easier to manage.
Flutterwave’s CEO, Olugbenga Agboola, believes this is a big step forward. He says the company’s goal is to make payments simple and accessible for Nigerians, allowing them to take part in the global economy without stress.
What’s next?
Right now, the Swap service supports Naira to USD, GBP, and EUR conversions, but Flutterwave has plans to add more currencies in the future. This gives Nigerians more options and flexibility when dealing with international transactions.
For those who need to send money abroad without going through complicated bank procedures, the Send App with Swap could be a game-changer.
