Nigeria’s Most Expensive Street with Houses Starting at ₦1 Billion

Bourdillon Road in Ikoyi, Lagos, is known as the most expensive street in Nigeria. Named after Sir Bernard Henry Bourdillon, a former British colonial leader and Governor-General of Nigeria, it’s where some of the richest people in Nigeria live.

This street features luxury high-rise apartments and large mansions, with prices starting at about ₦1 billion. It is home to famous people, including politicians and business leaders, who enjoy high-end amenities like rooftop pools, gyms, and great views of Lagos.

Security on Bourdillon Road is very tight. There are private guards, continuous video surveillance, and police presence to keep the area safe.

The buildings along this street, like 4 Bourdillon, Belmonte, Desiderata, and The George, are among the most beautiful and well-equipped in Nigeria. Living here is seen as a sign of ultimate financial success due to the street’s exclusivity and the cost of the properties.

The land here is very rare and expensive, selling for between ₦1 billion to ₦3 billion per plot. This makes Bourdillon Road not just the most expensive street in Nigeria but also a place where owning property is a significant status symbol.
