Osimhen Sues Turkish Journalist Over Assault Accusations

Victor Osimhen, the 26-year-old Galatasaray forward who is currently on loan from Napoli, has filed a defamation lawsuit against Turkish journalist Tolga Bozduman. Bozduman accused Osimhen of punching him while he was trying to take photos of the striker after a match. 

The incident reportedly occurred following a 3-3 draw between Galatasaray and Dynamo Kyiv. Despite his impressive performance on the field this season, scoring 16 goals with five assists in 21 games, Osimhen now finds himself embroiled in off-field controversy. 

Reports suggest Osimhen allegedly offered money to erase footage of the altercation, escalating the scandal. However, Osimhen denies these claims, describing them as “false and malicious,” as stated through Promise Efoghe, the Super Eagles media officer.
