Osimhen Turns Down Al-Hilal’s ₦44 Billion Offer

Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles striker, has turned down a substantial offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal. The club wanted to pay him £22 million a year, tax-free. That is approximately ₦44 billion per year, or £425,000 each week. Despite this huge amount of money, Victor Osimhen prefers to play in Europe next season.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says talks have broken down. Osimhen and Al-Hilal could not agree on terms. He also does not know what will happen with his current club, Napoli.

Last season, Osimhen was on loan at Galatasaray in Turkey. He scored 37 goals in 32 games, helping the team win the Turkish League and Turkish Cup. Now, Galatasaray wants to keep him, but they cannot pay the €75 million release fee Napoli wants.

Manchester United and Chelsea are both keen on signing Osimhen. However, his high wage demands remain a big hurdle for any team that wants him.
