Port Harcourt Refinery Resumes Operations
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) announced on Tuesday, November 26, that the Port Harcourt Refinery is back in operation. Mr. Olufemi Soneye, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer at NNPCL, shared this news with The Nation.
He said, “A Historic Milestone: Port Harcourt Refinery Begins Operations,” highlighting this important event for Nigeria. The start of the refinery is a big step toward Nigeria being able to produce its own energy and help its economy grow.
Soneye praised the efforts that made this possible, “Today is a huge success for Nigeria as the Port Harcourt Refinery starts processing crude oil again. This important step marks a new chapter of energy independence and economic growth for our country.”
He thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the NNPC Board, and GCEO Mele Kyari for their strong dedication to this project. “Together, we are changing Nigeria’s energy future,” added Soneye.
