Premier Paints, Conoil, BUA Cement Among Stocks to Watch as NGX Investors Gain N924bn
Investors in the Nigerian stock market recorded strong gains last week, with the market value rising by N924 billion. The positive performance was driven by renewed interest in key stocks, including Premier Paints, Conoil and BUA Cement, which are now among the shares likely to attract attention in the new trading week.
Market capitalisation rose to N127.3 trillion from N126.4 trillion the previous week, while the All-Share Index climbed 0.73% to close at 198,407.30 points, up from 196,968.15 points.
The rally was supported by strong performances from stocks such as Premier Paints, Conoil and BUA Cement, putting them among the equities likely to attract market attention in the new trading week.

Premier Paints closed at N19.40 per share at the end of trading on Friday, March 13, 2026. The stock opened the year at N10.00 and has gained 94% since then. Over the last four weeks alone, it has risen by 76%, making it one of the strongest performers on the exchange in that period. Trading activity has also picked up, with 6.98 million shares exchanged in 411 deals over the last three months, worth N117 million.
Conoil ended the week at N204.40 per share. Since the start of the year, the stock has gained 9.19% from its opening price of N187.20. In the last four weeks, it has added 21%, showing renewed investor interest. Over the past three months, Conoil recorded a trading volume of 6.52 million shares in 10,373 deals valued at N1.18 billion.
BUA Cement was one of the standout gainers for the week, closing at N291.80 per share after rising 8.07% from N247.30. The stock has now gained 51.3% since the start of the year, up from N178.50, while its four-week return stands at 41%. Trading in the stock has also remained strong, with 71.4 million shares worth N13.9 billion traded in 71,089 deals over the last three months.
With the broader market extending its gains and these stocks posting strong returns, Premier Paints, Conoil and BUA Cement are expected to remain on investors’ radar in the days ahead.
