Real Madrid Team Bus Crashes After Liverpool UCL Defeat
Real Madrid’s team bus was involved in a crash after the team’s disappointing 2-0 loss to Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday night. The accident occurred on the M40 motorway, with the bus stationary at the time.
A lorry collided with the coach, but fortunately, no players or staff were on board. The bus was being used to transport the team’s kit back to Madrid, not the players.
After the match, footage from social media showed the luxury coach, which had been unveiled earlier in October to match the modern look of the Bernabéu Stadium, stopped on the motorway.
The crash occurred after the team had played at Anfield, and the bus was on its way back to Spain. Normally, teams would fly home after a European match, but in this case, the team’s kit had to be transported by road.
The crash adds to a tough season for Real Madrid, who are struggling in the Champions League. This loss to Liverpool marked their third defeat in just five European games, leaving them with more challenges ahead.
Liverpool’s goals came from Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo, while Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé missed a penalty, adding to his recent difficulties.
Despite the setback, teammate Jude Bellingham spoke out in defense of Mbappé, saying, “Kylian is a wonderful player, but the pressure is huge. The penalty is not why we lost. Kylian can keep his head high, and he will have many more big moments for this club.”
This incident is not the first time Real Madrid’s coach has been involved in an accident. Back in February, the team was also involved in a collision during a bus trip in Germany, when they were heading to a match against RB Leipzig.
With both on-field and off-field challenges, Real Madrid’s season continues to be full of difficulties.
