Reps Urges FG to Halt SAMOA Agreement Implementation

The Samoa Agreement, an international treaty that reportedly contains provisions supporting LGBTQ rights, has sparked intense controversy in Nigeria.
Signed in Samoa on November 15, 2023, the agreement offers a $150 billion incentive to underdeveloped and developing countries.
However, Nigeria, along with several other African nations, declined to sign the pact, objecting to a specific clause that requires the adoption of same-sex relationships.
