Shan George Begs after N3.6m Disappeared from her Zenith to Opay

Vet actress Shan George likes her privacy despite her celebrity. Now she has to come out, and swing her clout.

Some whiz just flipped N3.6 million from her bank account. Everything in there disappeared into the perp’s Opay account.

It hurts.

“I need help cos I’m dy!ng,” she wrote on her Instagram page and a video on Friday . “I don’t have any kobo anywhere again, what will I eat? I no fit beg, I beg una, make una help me.”

The actress wouldn’t know who to cry to, and she’s got to do what she doesn’t like.

“I am begging everybody, please Zenith bank, Opay, Abeg make una help me. I take God beg una,” she said.

Her video is trending now.

“Cecilia Chiagoziem Okoro. That’s the name of the person that just wiped all the money in my account, N3.6 million into an Opay account.”

She begged the EFCC, Nigerian police, Zenith, Opay, and others to reverse the transaction.

The CBN has just banned Opay, Palmpay, and others from taking on more customers. The fintech platforms have vulnerabilities which criminals are hacking to spirit money off people’s accounts—or even launder money.

With anybody’s number, a criminal can open an account whose owner a bank can’t trace. Crypto transactions and other underworld dealings readily go unnoticed there, too.

In compliance, the fintech platforms said they have beefed up their security, warning customers not to transact cryptocurrencies on the platforms.
