Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc Announces Key Executive Appointments across Group

Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc announced on Thursday (February 4th) that it had appointed key executives across its subsidiaries, including Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, Stanbic IBTC Asset Management, Stanbic IBTC Nominees, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, Stanbic IBTC Nominees, Stanbic IBTC Insurance Brokers, and Stanbic IBTC Insurance.

In a statement that was sent to the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc informed stakeholders that the appointments were in line with its corporate governance and succession plan. The company also noted that all the necessary regulatory approvals were obtained prior to the announcement. These appointments took effect on the 2nd of February, 2021.

Eric Fajemisin:

He was appointed the Executive Director in charge of Corporate and Transactional Banking at Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc. The Chartered Accountant has over 30 years cognate experience in the financial services industry and had previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers.

Babatunde Majiyagbe: Mr Majiyagbe was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic IBTC Nominees Limited. Prior to this time, the Onabisi Onabanjo University graduate had held different management positions within the Stanbic IBTC Group, He had also worked at leading banks such as Standard Chartered and Ecobank Nigeria.

Olumide Oyetan and Dare Otitoju: Mr Oyetan was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer for Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers. He has over 20 years experience and have held important positions within Stanbic IBTC and Standard Bank. Dare Otitoju, on the other hand, was appointed as an Executive Director of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers.

Busola Jejelowo and Wunmi Ehis-Uzenabor: These two were appointed as Executive Directors in charge of Investments and Operations (respectively) at Stanbic IBTC Asset Management.

Emi Agbada-Oloja and Ibiyemi Mezu: Emi Agbaja-Oloja was appointed as the Executive Director at Stanbic IBTC Trustees while Ibiyemi Mezu was appointed an Executive Director at Stanbic IBTC Insurance Brokers.

Others who were appointed include Akinjide Orimolade as the Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic IBTC Insurance.
Sakeenat Bakare was also appointed as the Executive Director in charge of Business Development at Stanbic IBTC Insurance, even as Dunny Semwayo was also appointed as an Executive Director (Technical) at Stanbic IBTC Insurance.
