Supercomputer Says Man City Will Win the League This Time

It’s that time of the year again where predictions flood in, hopes rise, and rivalries heat up. And leading the charge is a supercomputer simulation that has one clear verdict. Manchester City are taking back their Premier League crown in the 2025/26 season.

City, who narrowly missed out last season to a revived Liverpool under new manager Arne Slot, are reportedly set for a comeback.

According to the simulation, Pep Guardiola’s men will finish on top of the table, driven by a deep squad overhaul and renewed hunger to dominate English football again.

This forecast throws cold water on Liverpool’s chances of retaining the title. Despite an impressive debut season from Arne Slot stepping into the huge shoes left behind by Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool are predicted to slip to third place.

That’s in spite of their massive spending spree, which includes breaking the British transfer record to sign German playmaker Florian Wirtz for a staggering £116 million.

The Merseyside club has already splashed over £269 million this window and still have eyes on Newcastle’s Alexander Isak.

But the supercomputer sees something different. It suggests that, for all Liverpool’s firepower, it won’t be enough to stop City, who have made ten key signings since January and are reportedly more balanced and battle-ready than last year.

In between them, Arsenal are predicted to take second place again. Mikel Arteta’s side are expected to finish as runners-up for a fourth consecutive season, despite strengthening their attack over the summer.

For Gunners fans, that’s a frustrating mix of progress and déjà vu. Of course, simulations don’t win trophies. But they do spark debates.

Is City really the team to beat again? Can Liverpool’s new stars click in time? Will Arsenal ever turn second place into something more?

The season hasn’t kicked off yet, but if the supercomputer is right, then the blue half of Manchester has something big to look forward to. Again.
