The Only La Liga Team Cristiano Ronaldo Failed to Score Against
Cristiano Ronaldo, celebrated as the second-highest scorer in La Liga’s history, has an impressive record of 311 goals in 292 appearances. His scoring prowess, averaging a goal every 80.7 minutes, often tipped the scales in favor of Real Madrid.
However, amidst this remarkable feat, there remains one La Liga club that successfully thwarted Ronaldo from finding the back of the net.
Over his nine-year spell with Real Madrid, Ronaldo faced 33 different clubs in La Liga. He scored against 32 of them, with his most dominant performance being against Sevilla, where he netted 25 goals in just 15 appearances.
The 2014–15 season marked his peak, as he scored 48 goals in 35 games. Yet, CD Leganes stands out as the sole club that Ronaldo couldn’t score against.
Ronaldo encountered CD Leganes only once in a league match during his time at Real Madrid. The match, held in November 2016, ended in a 3-0 victory for Madrid.

Despite playing the full 90 minutes and Real Madrid securing a comfortable win, Ronaldo did not contribute to the scoreline, failing to register any of his three shots on target.
In that season’s reverse fixture, Real Madrid won 4-2, but Ronaldo was not in the lineup.
Throughout his tenure at Real Madrid, they faced CD Leganes six times across all competitions, but Ronaldo participated in just one of these encounters.
With Ronaldo’s La Liga career now behind him, it appears this unique record will remain unchanged. Nonetheless, scoring against 32 out of 33 teams is an impressive testament to his enduring skill and impact on the field.
