Tinubu Renames Abuja Road to Honour Chinua Achebe
President Bola Tinubu has renamed the M18 road in Guzape District, Abuja, in honor of the famous Nigerian novelist and poet, Chinua Achebe.
The announcement was made during the inauguration ceremony of the road on Saturday, June 8.
President Tinubu, while addressing the attendees, highlighted the significant contributions of Chinua Achebe to literature and the cultural heritage of Nigeria.

He noted that renaming the road after Achebe is a fitting tribute to his legacy and influence.
Olusegun Dada, Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Social Media, also shared the news.
Dada’s post read, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu commissions the M18 road infrastructure in Guzape District of Abuja. Names road after Nigerian Novelist and Poet, late Professor Chinua Achebe.”
This renaming aims to celebrate Achebe’s remarkable achievements and ensure his legacy continues to inspire future generations.
