Top 14 Players Chelsea May Sell This Summer
Chelsea is getting ready for a big change this summer. New coach Enzo Maresca will lead a major clearout at the club. After finishing fourth in the Premier League and winning the Europa Conference League, Chelsea is back in the Champions League.
Maresca has full support from the club’s management to improve the team. But first, Chelsea needs to make room by selling some players.
Reports say that as many as 14 first-team players could leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
One of those is winger Noni Madueke. He scored 11 goals this season and even played for England, but the club thinks he has stopped improving.
João Félix, who joined Chelsea last year for £45 million after a loan spell, spent the second half of this season on loan at AC Milan. Now, he is free to leave the club.
Both goalkeepers, Robert Sánchez and Djordje Petrović, are also available, which may mean changes in that position.
Defenders who could be sold include Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi, Renato Veiga, and Trevoh Chalobah. Chalobah was close to leaving last summer, and his future is still unclear.
In midfield, Maresca is willing to let Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Lesley Ugochukwu go. Dewsbury-Hall joined Chelsea from Leicester City but has not become a regular player
