Top Celebrities Who Have Shown Support for VDM After His Reported Arrest

Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VDM, was reportedly whisked away by the EFCC shortly after leaving GTBank. His sudden arrest has caused a major uproar across the country.

We all know VDM for being a strong voice for the oppressed and for standing up for everyday Nigerians who often cannot speak for themselves. 

He has consistently used his platform to discuss injustice, corruption, and the struggles of ordinary Nigerians.

Since his arrest, many Nigerians have demanded answers, while several celebrities have openly shown their support for him through their social media pages. 

Their support is not surprising, considering VDM’s impact and how he has always fought for the masses.

Here are some of the top celebrities who have spoken out in support of VDM:

1. Davido

Award-winning singer Davido took to his social media to express solidarity with VDM. Davido, who is known for his charitable work and vocal support for youth activism, shared a message calling for fairness and justice in handling VDM’s case.

2. Peter Okoye

Peter Okoye, one half of the famous P-Square duo, also showed support. He reposted messages demanding VDM’s release and emphasised the need for Nigerians to stand together when one of their own, especially someone fighting for the people, faces challenges.

3. Seun Kuti

Afrobeat singer and activist Seun Kuti, the son of legendary Fela Kuti, was not silent either. Seun, known for always speaking against oppression and injustice, called out the authorities, urging them to respect human rights and fair treatment. His message reminded Nigerians that activists must not be silenced

4. Tunde Ednut

Popular blogger and entertainer Tunde Ednut used his massive online platform to draw attention to VDM’s situation. He posted updates and messages encouraging fans and followers to keep demanding answers regarding the circumstances surrounding the arrest.
