Trump Announces U.S. Strikes Against Terrorist Targets in Nigeria

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that the United States carried out military strikes against terrorist groups operating in northwest Nigeria. According to Trump, the attacks were aimed at militants linked to ISIS who he said were responsible for the killing of large numbers of Christians.

In a statement released on December 25, Trump said the strikes were ordered under his authority as Commander-in-Chief. He described the operation as a series of carefully planned attacks designed to hit terrorist targets with precision.

Trump accused the militants of carrying out brutal violence, saying innocent Christians had been killed on a scale not seen for many years. He stated that the groups had been warned previously to stop the attacks or face serious consequences.

According to Trump, the U.S. military carried out what he called “powerful and deadly” strikes, adding that the United States would not allow extremist groups to continue their actions unchecked. He praised the military for the operation and framed the strikes as a strong response to terrorism.

The Nigerian government later confirmed that strikes did take place in parts of northern Nigeria. However, officials did not release specific details about how the operation was carried out or what role Nigeria may have played.
