Trump Warns of World War 3 if Putin Rejects Ceasefire
The world is watching as tensions between Russia and Ukraine continue, and US President Donald Trump has issued a serious warning, if Russian President Vladimir Putin refuses to agree to a ceasefire, the situation could spiral into World War 3.
Speaking at the White House, Trump revealed that his administration had received “positive messages” from Russia regarding a proposed 30-day ceasefire deal. However, he remained skeptical, saying, “A positive message means nothing.”

The ceasefire agreement, discussed in Saudi Arabia between US and Ukrainian officials, now depends on Russia’s response. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for firm action if Moscow refuses to cooperate.
To push negotiations forward, Trump’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, is heading to Moscow for direct talks with Russian officials. “Our people are going to Russia right now as we speak. And hopefully, we can get a ceasefire from Russia,” Trump said.
However, the US president also made it clear that there could be financial consequences for Russia if Putin does not comply. “I could do things financially that would be very bad for Russia,” Trump warned. “I don’t want to do that because I want to get peace.”
When asked if he believed Putin would accept the deal, Trump admitted the situation was delicate. “This is a very serious situation. This is a situation that could lead to World War Three,” he stated.
As of now, the Kremlin has not given a clear response, leaving uncertainty about whether Russia will agree to the ceasefire or risk further economic measures from Washington. The world waits for Putin’s next move.
