Who will replace Ajuri Ngelale as Tinubu’s Special Adviser?
Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, has resigned. In a statement issued earlier today, Ngelale mentioned he had submitted a resignation memo to Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff, on Friday, September 6, 2024.
Ngelale explained his decision was driven by the need to address urgent medical issues affecting his close family. He stated, “I am taking an indefinite leave of absence to frontally deal with medical matters currently impacting my immediate family.”
Despite the difficult decision, which also sees him stepping down from roles such as the Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen, Ngelale expressed hope to return to his duties once circumstances allow. He also requested privacy for himself and his family during this challenging period.
