Zfancy, 3 Other Skit Makers Who Were Once Arrested
When it comes to online comedy, pranksters often walk a fine line between humor and offense. One such prankster, Ubani Zion Chibuike, better known as Zfancy, has found himself in hot water once again. The Nigerian Police Force (NPF), through its National Cybercrime Centre, arrested Zfancy at an apartment in Wuye district of Abuja. This arrest follows allegations of rape and other serious crimes depicted in his viral prank videos.
The arrest was announced in a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), ACP Olumuyi Adejobi. According to the statement, Zfancy’s videos, which he claimed were scripted, caused significant distress among social media users. The police emphasized that such actions have severe implications and cannot be dismissed lightly. Zfancy, who said he was trying to regain the spotlight after a break, now faces potential legal actions for producing and promoting content that could incite fear and disturb public peace.
This incident is not the first time Zfancy has been in trouble with the law. His bold and often controversial pranks have repeatedly put him under scrutiny. The police have warned other pranksters and content creators to be mindful of their actions and the potential threats they pose to public safety. But Zfancy is not alone in this. The entertainment industry has seen several other skit makers who have faced legal troubles. Here are other skit makers who have been arrested by the police.
Trinity Guy – Pranks Gone Wrong
Abdullahi Mahruf, popularly known as Trinity Guy, is an Ibadan-based skit maker who also found himself behind bars due to the nature of his pranks. Trinity Guy was arrested and detained at Agodi Correctional Centre after a prank video involving a minor went viral on social media.
The video, which showed the sexualization of a minor, drew significant backlash and led to his arrest by the Oyo State Police Command.
Trinity Guy, along with the victim’s parents, was charged with conspiracy and sexual abuse/exploitation. The case received attention from the state Ministry of Justice, highlighting the severe nature of his actions. Although he was later released on bail, the incident left a black mark on his career, serving as a stark reminder of the legal boundaries in content creation.
MC Sharp – Humiliation as a Prank
Obed Chekwube Ugwuanyi, known as MC Sharp, is an Enugu-based comedian whose prank video led to his arrest. In a disturbing viral video, a young lady named Chinenye Agbo was physically abused, disrobed, and had her hair cut off, all under the pretense of a prank.
The incident was purportedly a punishment for Agbo allegedly assaulting MC Sharp’s girlfriend, Anastasia.

The video sparked public outrage and led to the arrest of MC Sharp and his accomplices by the Enugu State Police Command. Despite claims that the video was staged to gain social media followers, the police condemned the act and proceeded with legal action. This case underscores the potential dangers and legal repercussions of extreme pranks.
Adeherself – From Comedy to Court
Adedamola Adewale, widely known as Adeherself, is a social media influencer who faced legal troubles not for her pranks but for fraud. She was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and charged with possession of fraudulent documents.
Adeherself’s case is a departure from the typical prank-related arrests, as it involved serious allegations of internet fraud.

Following her arraignment, Adeherself was granted bail but remained in custody until she met the bail conditions. Her arrest came after intelligence reports linked her to fraudulent activities in the Lekki area of Lagos. The case highlighted the broader issue of internet fraud among influencers and served as a warning to others in the industry.
