How Termii Is Building Stronger Customer Relationships

Termii, a communication infrastructure that provides African businesses with the tools needed to power interactions, believes that it is a basic right for businesses to be able to communicate effectively with their customers.

Noting that they are very obsessed with customers, The Chief Executive Officer, Termii, Emmanuel Gbolade, said effective communication between businesses and customers fosters impact. 

Emmanuel who spoke at the second edition of the Termii Annual Elevate Conference held at the Zone Tech Park in Gbagada, Lagos, Nigeria, said their duty is to strengthen engagements between customers and businesses.

Speaking further, Termii CEO said, “Ensuring that the customers can voice their complaints effectively and the businesses can communicate effectively to the customer on happenings around that portal or platform is very crucial…Because sometimes it stands between life and death… and that’s why strengthening communication is very important to us.”

The event which featured insightful keynote speeches, engaging panel sessions, live demos, an app launch and exhibitions gave attendees an opportunity to gain valuable insights that will help them elevate their customer communication strategies.

The Value Termii Offers to Businesses

Termii helps businesses connect with and verify their customers seamlessly across multiple instant messaging channels. Termii supports top global businesses such as Bamboo, Chipper, Paystack, and Kobo360. As well as Piggyvest, ULesson, and Helium Health.

The company has so far achieved some incredible milestones, including over 360 million transactions and 3 billion wallet payments across Nigeria for messaging services, with 89% being from financial service companies.

Revealing that a lot of these companies have scaled on their infrastructure, Emmanuel mentioned that Termii is extending her services beyond businesses to their end-users. He said, “We don’t just want to serve the businesses alone. We want to also provide the same quality of services offered to the business to their end users.”

One of the speakers at the Termii Elevate Conference 2.0, Toyin Adepegba, Head of Marketing, OmniBiz Africa who led a keynote speech on “The Role of Communication in Customer Success and Support” stated that Termii enables platforms to communicate with customers seamlessly.”

Toyin Adepegba is a first-class Marketing Communications professional with proven expertise in Media/Public Relations, Content Creation, Brand Strategy and Management, Trade Marketing and Project Management.

Adepegba revealed that Termii is the messaging platform that processes all their messages and OTPs with their customers. She said, “What Termii does is, it intelligently maintains our data such that (anybody) is not just coming to our platform. They also help us know who we are communicating with…” 

“We can look at their transaction history such that we can build a credit score for them because some of them are unbanked. The credit score helps us to create debt financing for customers and request for access to working capital.” 

Toyin who talked about the essence of being emotionally connected with customers to generate a desired response further counselled customer service professionals to first establish the problems, empathise with the customers, apologise were necessary and promise that they will fix the challenge.

How Termii automates responses to customers

Another speaker, Tomisin Araoye, Head of Performance Marketing at MoniePoint said there is a handshake between Termii and Moniepoint that automates responses to customers. Talking about Termii’s role in the growth of Moniepoint she said, “Termii’s role is about people feeling safe. There is something about being able to communicate with the people directly…” 

Tomisin also noted that “Termii provides a system where we can use codes to put in personal data so that it is more personalised for customers.” She looked forward to more growth, stability and reliability with Termii.

Termii and Waystream: What you need to know

Gbenga Sodunke, CEO of Waystream, one of the exhibitors present at the Termii Elevate conference 2.0, noted that Termii’s target audience is a section of Waystream’s target audience.

Waystream, launched to the public in November 2022 is a live audio streaming and podcast platform built by the community and for the community. It is the first African platform to combine live audio streaming with podcasts. 

Gbenga also revealed that Waystream helps brands to amplify themselves to their potential or existing customers. He hinted that they are looking forward to more partnerships with Termii.

As Termii continues to power the dreams of companies, it looks forward to fully integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) to ensure that effective communications go on simultaneously and seamlessly.
