Obi will Soon Replace Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President of Nigeria – Abure

The National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Julius Abure has confidently stated that Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, will soon replace Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President of Nigeria.

Abure said, “I firmly believe that the tribunal will declare Peter Obi as the rightful president of Nigeria. Our party and Obi are resolute in challenging the outcome of the presidential election that took place in February.”

Abure made this statement during his address to Nigerians in the United States as part of his tour of the country.

At the heart of this assertion lies the ongoing legal challenge mounted by Peter Obi and the LP against the outcome of the February presidential election, in which Obi secured the third position.

Obi and his party are asking the court to nullify the victory of Bola Tinubu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Abure emphatically underscored the impact of Peter Obi’s participation in the 2023 general election, portraying it as a game-changer that challenged the traditional political norms in Nigeria.

He stated, “They have murdered sleep and they will sleep no more. They have stolen what is not for them and they will not sleep until we recover it all.”

Abure who is on a tour to the United Kingdom and the US said, “We are expecting judgment between now and the 16th of September. And I am very sure Peter Obi will become President.”

Speaking further, the Labour Party Chairman noted that things have become worse since Bola Tinubu became the President of Nigeria.

He said,  “The only party and the only candidate that has solutions to the challenges of the country is the Labour Party and Peter Obi. And so we still believe that things will change in Nigeria.”

“I want to say that we should not lose hope, we should not be discouraged. The hope is still alive and I am confident that Peter Obi will be president.”
