With a package totaling around $6,500, Paducah offers remote workers a sweet deal, including reimbursement of $2,500 for relocation costs, free internet for a year, exemption from the city’s 2% payroll tax for one year, and approximately $1,150 worth of complimentary tickets to various cultural and educational attraction.

These perks extend to partnerships with esteemed establishments like the state university, Paducah Symphony Orchestra, Paducah School of Art & Design, River Discovery Center museum, as well as the city’s art center, theater, and entrepreneurial hub, Sprocket. To qualify, candidates must relocate within three months of acceptance.

Shoals, Alabama

Nestled just a stone’s throw away from Nashville, Birmingham, and Memphis, the Shoals region in Alabama is music to the ears of aspiring homeowners. Offering a cool $10,000 in cash through the Remote Shoals program, this area invites you to enjoy its rich musical heritage and scenic beauty while padding your wallet.

Upon acceptance, participants receive 25% of the sum immediately to assist with relocation expenses. Another 25% is disbursed after six months, with the remaining half provided after the first year. To qualify, individuals must be at least 18 years old, earn a minimum annual income of $52,000, and be prepared to relocate within six months of acceptance.

Greater Rochester, New York

Greater Rochester, New York, beckons with its world-class wineries and abundant recreational activities. Remote workers stand to gain up to $19,000 in grants, making the move to this vibrant region even more enticing. This includes $10,000 earmarked for relocation costs and up to $9,000 in homebuyer incentives. To qualify, applicants must be prepared to relocate within six months of acceptance.

The Greater Rochester has a vast nine-county network, encompassing over 12,000 acres of parkland and hosting 140+ festivals and events annually. Among its attractions are a nationally renowned jazz festival, the second-largest children’s museum in the U.S., and over 75 family-friendly activities within an hour’s drive of the city.

Tulsa, Oklahoma

Tulsa, Oklahoma, strikes the perfect balance between urban excitement and natural beauty. Boasting a $10,000 grant for homebuyers, the Tulsa Remote program has already attracted thousands of remote workers seeking adventure and opportunity in this dynamic city. 

The  $10,000 sum is provided as a lump sum after buying a qualifying property and attending a Tulsa Remote orientation session. Eligible applicants must be full-time remote workers or self-employed individuals residing outside of Oklahoma. Since its inception in 2018, over 2,200 remote workers have relocated to Tulsa through this program.

West Virginia

The Ascend program in West Virginia offers a lucrative remote work package with a $12,000 stipend. Of this, $10,000 is distributed over the first year of residency, with an additional $2,000 provided at the end of the second year. Participants also gain access to complimentary outdoor activities such as skiing and whitewater rafting. 

The program cuts across locations within the state, including Greenbrier, known for its eclectic dining options and natural attractions like river trails and ancient caverns. Morgantown offers a college-centric environment with abundant outdoor recreation, while the Eastern Panhandle boasts a charming small-town ambiance with historic parks and boutiques. Overall, the Ascend program values its comprehensive benefits at $20,000.

Bemidji, Minnesota
