Air Peace Cancels Flights in Six Nigerian Cities Due to Unscheduled Maintenance

Air Peace has announced the cancellation of its flight operations to and from six Nigerian cities—Warri, Ibadan, Akure, Ilorin, Calabar, and Uyo—due to unscheduled maintenance.

The cancellations are set for Wednesday, January 15, and Thursday, January 16, 2025, affecting numerous passengers.

The airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, Ejike Ndiulo, released a statement explaining the sudden change.

“Dear Esteemed Customer, We wish to inform you of the cancellation of flights to and from Warri and Ibadan due to unscheduled maintenance.

Additionally, flights to Akure, Ilorin, Calabar, and Uyo have been canceled for the same reason. These cancellations will affect operations today and tomorrow,” the statement detailed.

Air Peace extended its apologies for any inconvenience caused and reassured affected passengers that they were informed promptly through various communication channels.

The statement further emphasized, “We deeply regret any inconvenience caused by these disruptions and remain committed to upholding the highest safety standards.

We advise passengers to monitor flight schedules or contact our customer service team for assistance.”

Passengers have had mixed reactions to the news. Michael Okechukwu, a traveler affected by the disruption, stated, “While it is disappointing, I appreciate that Air Peace prioritizes safety.

Maintenance is important.” Another passenger, Mariam Okon, expressed her frustration, saying, “The cancellations disrupted my plans, but I hope they resolve the issue quickly.”

Air Peace has encouraged all travelers affected by the cancellations to stay updated by checking the airline’s official communication channels for any further information.
