APC Chieftain Jesutega Onokpasa is Dead

Jesutega Onokpasa, a well-known member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and legal expert, has died. He passed away on Monday, though the cause of his death has not been revealed.

His death was confirmed on Tuesday by APC supporter Okezie Atani, who posted on X (formerly Twitter):
“We lost Barr. Jesutega Onokpasa. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”

Onokpasa is survived by his wife and children.

A tribute was also shared by the Renewed Hope United Kingdom group on Facebook. It was titled:
“A Farewell to a Passionate Advocate: Honouring Jesutega Onokpasa’s Legacy.”

The group described him as a strong voice in politics and law.
“The passing of Barrister Jesutega Onokpasa is a great loss to Nigeria. He was a committed lawyer and political commentator who always stood for what he believed in,” the post said.

Onokpasa was an active member of the APC’s Publicity Committee. He also served on the APC Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 elections.

He gained national attention for defending the APC and President Bola Tinubu in media appearances. His political views often sparked lively conversations, and many regarded him as a strong voice for the party.

His death is being mourned by friends, supporters, and party members across the country.
