APGA Releases 2027 Primary Timetable, Sets Presidential Form at N75 Million
The All Progressives Grand Alliance has announced its provisional timetable for the 2027 general election primaries, with the party fixing its presidential nomination form at N75 million.
APGA disclosed the schedule after a meeting of its National Working Committee, saying the timetable aligns with the revised election calendar released by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
According to the party, aspirants will begin purchasing and returning expression of interest forms from April 20 to May 8.
Screening of aspirants for the National Assembly is scheduled for May 11, while State House of Assembly hopefuls will be screened on May 12. Governorship aspirants are expected to undergo screening on May 13.
The party said the sale and submission of nomination forms will run from May 14 to May 21.
Under the approved fees, the expression of interest form for the presidency is N25 million. Combined with the nomination form, the total cost for presidential aspirants comes to N75 million.
Other fees announced by the party include N6 million for Senate aspirants, N4 million for House of Representatives, N10 million for governorship hopefuls, and N2 million for State House of Assembly candidates.
APGA also confirmed that all primary elections will hold on May 23 using the Option A4 voting system, where party members openly queue behind their preferred candidates.
Appeals arising from the primaries are expected to be concluded by May 28.
The release of the timetable places APGA among the early parties making preparations for the 2027 elections, as political activity gradually builds across the country.
