The Benue State government has announced plans to conduct a thorough clean-up of its various agencies and parastatals to eliminate corruption and administrative mismanagement.
Solomon Iorpev, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, stated that Governor Hyacinth Alia is committed to addressing systemic issues within these bodies. According to the Commissioner, the administration is moving to remove existing corrupt practices in Benue agencies to ensure they align with the state’s developmental goals.
The promised intervention is expected to target inefficiencies that have hindered the performance of state-owned enterprises. By addressing these “rots,” the government aims to improve service delivery and enhance the transparency of public funds.
