Can CAC’s AI Portal Fast Track Your Business Registration?

Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has taken a major step toward modernising business setup by unveiling the CAC AI business registration portal.

This innovative platform uses artificial intelligence to simplify company incorporation, name searches, and document verification, tasks that once took days now happen in minutes.

According to CAC officials, the CAC AI business registration portal analyses submitted applications in real time, flagging errors or missing information before final submission.

By automating these checks, the portal cuts common delays and reduces back-and-forth between entrepreneurs and regulators. Users can expect to receive provisional approval within 24 hours for standard applications.

Small-business owner Amina Yusuf welcomed the change: “I tried to register my new tech startup last year, and it took over a week. With the CAC AI business registration portal, I completed everything in under two hours and had feedback immediately.

Early adopters report that the AI assistant even suggests alternative company names if a preferred name is unavailable, streamlining the entire process.

Beyond speed, the portal offers stronger security. Built-in machine-learning models detect fraudulent submissions by cross-referencing national databases and flag suspicious patterns.

The CAC plans to integrate additional features, such as AI-powered customer support chatbots and predictive analytics for business trends, in future updates.

This launch marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda, positioning the country as a leader in Africa’s push for more innovative, tech-driven governance. Entrepreneurs, lawyers, and accountants alike are encouraged to explore the new system and provide feedback.

As more users experience its efficiency, the CAC expects a surge in formally registered businesses, which will foster economic growth and job creation across the nation.
