Dele Farotimi Granted N50 Million Bail in Court
A magistrate court in Ekiti State has set the bail for human rights lawyer Dele Farotimi at N50 million in a defamation lawsuit initiated by Afe Babalola.
The announcement was made by Omoyele Sowore, the 2023 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, via his X account on Monday.
Alongside the bail, Farotimi is required to provide a surety for the same amount, and must also offer landed property as collateral. The court has scheduled the next hearing for January 29, 2025.
