How to Generate E-Affidavits for Change of Name and Loss of SIM in Nigeria
Getting an affidavit is often needed for personal matters such as changing your name or replacing a lost SIM card. In the past, you had to visit a court to complete this process, but now, many states have introduced electronic affidavit (e-affidavit) systems to make things faster and easier.
What is an E-Affidavit?
An e-affidavit is a digital version of the regular affidavit. It lets you create, submit, and get your sworn legal statement online, without having to go to court in person. E-affidavits are legally recognised and can be used for official purposes.
Why You Might Need an E-Affidavit
- Change of Name: If you change your name because of marriage, correction, or personal reasons, you’ll need an affidavit to update official records.
- Loss of SIM Card: Telecom companies usually require an affidavit to help you replace a lost SIM card.
