Impeached Lagos Speaker Obasa Returns with Heavy Security, Reclaims Office

The impeached Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, arrived at the Assembly Complex under tight security, accompanied by more than 11 police officers.

Despite his removal from office, Obasa headed straight to the Speaker’s office, raising tensions amid reports that security operatives assigned to the new Speaker had been withdrawn.

His return comes at a time of political uncertainty in the Assembly, with more developments expected in the coming hours.
