The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has commenced an orientation and revalidation exercise for beneficiaries of the RHEI 3 programme across the three senatorial districts of Oyo State.
The exercise is designed to confirm the eligibility of selected candidates and ensure that the intended support reaches the correct individuals. By conducting these sessions across all three senatorial districts, the agency aims to provide comprehensive coverage to the participants selected for this phase of the programme.
The move follows the rollout of the RHEI 3 initiative in Oyo State, as the NDE seeks to maintain strict oversight over the distribution of resources and training opportunities.
Ensuring accountability in empowerment programmes
Revalidation processes are a standard requirement for large-scale government intervention programmes in Nigeria. They serve as a mechanism to prevent the emergence of ineligible applicants and to ensure that those who have been shortlisted meet the specific criteria set out for the RHEI 3 scheme.
