New Epstein Files: Who Is the RCCG Pastor Mentioned in the Documents?

Okey Enelamah, who is described as a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God and a former Nigerian trade minister, is mentioned in documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein that were released by the United States Department of Justice.

The report says the documents show that Jide Zeitlin, a former Goldman Sachs partner, tried to connect Jeffrey Epstein with Nigerian officials at the time. It adds that the messages concerned discussions of a proposed seaport project in Badagry and that Lekki was also mentioned as another possible location.

The article also claims that even after Epstein’s earlier conviction, he still moved around powerful people and was involved in business discussions. It alleges that Zeitlin continued engaging him on the seaport plan and even considered bringing in other people, including Sultan Bin Sulayem.

The report further states that a meeting between Okey Enelamah and Jeffrey Epstein was arranged around the time of the World Economic Forum to advance the discussions. It points to an email in which Zeitlin, who sent it, suggested that Enelamah had discussed earlier forum discussions.

People’s Gazette says it tried to get Enelamah’s response, but he did not comment, even though he initially indicated he would. The outlet adds that after it said it would publish the story without his comment, a representative speaking on his behalf said he was not involved in any criminal activity linked to Epstein.

The report also mentions past controversies from Enelamah’s time in government, including allegations involving MTN Group and questions from the Nigerian Senate about a special economic zone arrangement during Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. It states that Enelamah denied any wrongdoing in connection with those issues.

A large part of the article focuses on Jide Zeitlin’s background and the personal scandal that ended his time as CEO of Tapestry Inc., the parent company of Coach, Kate Spade, and Stuart Weitzman.

It also recalls a prior controversy that affected an earlier public appointment linked to Barack Obama, and summarises his upbringing and education in Ibadan, Lagos, London, and the United States, including at Harvard Business School.

In summary, the report’s main point is that the released documents suggest a line of contact linking Jeffrey Epstein, Jide Zeitlin, and Okey Enelamah regarding business discussions during Enelamah’s tenure in government, while stressing that his camp denies any involvement in criminal conduct.
