New Funding Opportunity for African Startups from Bayer Foundation

By May 17, 2021Startup

The Bayer Foundation has launched a funding opportunity to enable early-stage African startups to bring their social impact innovations to life.

Annually, the foundation partners with the Ingolstadt School of Management in the Social Impact Startup Academy (SISTAC) to help entrepreneur from sub-Saharan Africa to validate their startup idea and build profitable businesses.

Selected startups gain access to mentors from the Ingolstadt School of Management, access to the Bayer Foundation network, and free business consultation. They can also access funding possibilities and competitions, the SISTAC knowledge database, and workshops and events.

Selected startups will gain access to the Bayer Foundation network, receive mentorship from the Ingolstadt School of Management as well as free business consultation. They can also use the SISTAC information database and partake in workshops and seminars.

is Your Startup a Good Fit?

The Bayer Foundation is searching for startups that focus mainly on Sustainable Development Goals 2 and 3, which are zero hunger, health and wellbeing. To stand a better chance at receiving the funding your startup should be in the validation stage, with some paying customers and pushing to validate and optimise its solution for growth. Female entrepreneurs or co-founders are preferred, but this is not a hard criterion.

You can apply for this funding opportunity here. Applications close at the end of the month.
