Nigerian Airline Cuts Local Flight Prices to N80,000 for the Holidays

Aero Contractors has set a new minimum ticket price of N80,000 for all its local flights during the festive season, aiming to lighten the financial load for Nigerians during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The airline’s Managing Director, Ado Sanusi, shared this update in a recent press briefing, highlighting the move as part of Aero Contractors’ commitment to giving back to its customers during the holiday season.

Sanusi pointed out, “With the ongoing economic challenges and rising ticket costs, we recognize the additional pressure on travelers around the holidays. In response, we are pleased to introduce what we’re calling ‘pocket-friendly Christmas prices.’ These reduced fares will be available across all our destinations, helping more Nigerians travel affordably.”

As of Tuesday afternoon, regular fares such as a Lagos-to-Abuja economy ticket were priced at N99,643, with business class tickets going for N189,167. This initiative, effective through January 2024, is designed to ensure that more families can reunite over the holidays without the strain of high travel expenses.

“This initiative is our way of showing appreciation to our loyal customers. We aim to facilitate family reunions during the festivities without the burden of high costs,” Sanusi explained.

He assured that despite the lowered prices, the airline would maintain profitability and continue to provide excellent service, taking into account the current economic conditions.
