Nigerians Applaud Osimhen’s ₦10m Donation to Beyond Limits

Nigerians have praised Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen after he donated ₦10 million to the Beyond Limits Football Academy. This gesture has resonated in both sports and social media as a strong example of giving back to grassroots football development.

The donation was announced during a video call organized by social media influencer Abdulsalam Idris, known as Smallie.

Osimhen made the donation directly to the 35 academy players, many of whom come from under-resourced backgrounds. The 26-year-old Galatasaray not only provides financial support but also to share personal insights on resilience, faith, and hard work with the next generation.

“I know what it’s like coming from the trenches. Many of us, myself included, have faced the same struggles that many of you are facing now,” Osimhen told the young players.

He shared three principles that guided his rise to international success: belief in God, hard work, and staying focused on education.

Social media users quickly came together to celebrate this gesture. Smallie called Osimhen “more than just a footballer to Nigerians. He is a symbol of hope for young Nigerians fighting their way out of the hood.”

Others agreed, with one user on X calling him “a treasure worthy of fighting for” and another noting the motivation his financial support gives to aspiring talents.

Beyond Limits Football Academy, located at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, competes in the Nigeria National League, the country’s second tier.

Osimhen’s support is expected to have a lasting effect on the academy’s resources and the dreams of its young hopefuls.
