O’Daniels Sets New World Record with 130-Hour Radio Talk Show

Popular radio presenter O’Daniels has made global headlines after setting a new Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon Hosting a Radio Talk Show.

The record-breaking broadcast began on Thursday, June 26, and was held live at the Hi-Impact 102.1FM studio in Ilupeju, Lagos. O’Daniels stayed on air without a break until Monday, June 30, 2025, hosting for an incredible 130 hours non-stop.

He first beat the previous world record of 88 hours by reaching the 99-hour mark. But O’Daniels didn’t stop there; he pressed on, passing 120 hours before finally ending the marathon at 130 hours.

Throughout the attempt, many fans, celebrities, and fellow broadcasters visited the studio to cheer him on, while countless more showed their support online.

The event attracted listeners from across Nigeria and quickly went viral on social media, with many praising O’Daniels for his passion, determination, and stamina.

Reflecting on his achievement, O’Daniels said, “What started as a bold dream is now a completed reality over 120 hours on air, non-stop, full of passion, purpose, and power.

But we’re not done. We’re going beyond the record, beyond the limit, because this is bigger than a number. This is a legacy in motion.”

O’Daniels’ remarkable feat is now being celebrated as a milestone in Nigerian broadcasting and an inspiration for many.
