A socio-political organisation in Ogun State, the Yayi Ni Wura Alliance Movement (YAM), has announced a mobilisation target of 100,000 votes for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The movement made its position known in a recent political declaration outlining its grassroots strategy to back the lawmaker, who is widely known as Yayi and currently represents Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
According to the group, the decision to mobilise the substantial voting bloc stems from a detailed evaluation of the senator’s legislative track record and his contributions to infrastructural and human capital development across the state.
Mobilisation Strategy and Political Alignment
The leadership of the Yayi Ni Wura Alliance Movement stated that its members are currently structuring ward-by-ward campaigns across the three senatorial districts of Ogun State to rally support under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Political realignments have begun to take shape within Ogun State as various interest groups position themselves ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle. Senator Adeola, a seasoned lawmaker who previously served in the Lagos State Senate before returning to his home state of Ogun, has remained a prominent figure in regional politics.
The coalition noted that its 100,000-vote target is part of a broader framework designed to ensure decisive victory margins during the ruling party’s primaries and the subsequent general elections.
Representatives of the group urged party loyalists and eligible voters who are yet to register or update their voter information with the Independent National Electoral Commission to seize the ongoing voter education window to secure their permanent voter cards.
