Omade denies reports of crisis in Kogi APC and Ododo’s camp

Hajia Aishat Oyiza Omade, the National Director of Planning of Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), has dismissed reports of a political rift among the associates of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. She also denied claims of an ongoing crisis within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Omade’s clarification comes following speculations regarding political divisions and discord within the ruling party’s ranks in Kogi. The rumours had suggested that the Governor’s inner circle was experiencing internal friction, a development that critics claimed could threaten the party’s stability.

The denial specifically addresses concerns raised following the replacement of Senator Abubakar Sadiku Ohere, a move that political observers suggested could serve as a catalyst for tension within the party structure. Omade maintained that there is no division among the Governor’s aides and that the party remains unified.

Political stability in Kogi APC

The political landscape in Kogi State has been under close scrutiny since the transition of power to the current administration under Governor Ododo. Maintaining party discipline and preventing factionalism have been central priorities for the Kogi APC as it seeks to consolidate its influence across the state.

According to Omade, the various reports of discord are unfounded and do not reflect the actual relationship between the Governor’s aides and the broader party membership. She suggested that such narratives are often circulated to create unnecessary doubt regarding the strength of the party in the state.

The Kogi APC has previously worked to manage internal transitions, particularly during the recent change in governorship. The stability of the party is viewed as essential for maintaining the political alignment between the state and the federal administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

While the party leadership moves to quell these rumours, the management of internal appointments and the distribution of influence remain sensitive issues. The Kogi APC leadership is expected to continue its engagement with various stakeholders to ensure that these claims of division do not impact upcoming political activities.
