A recent study by Givetastic analysed over a million Instagram posts with the hashtag business trip from October 2022 to February 2024. This study helps us understand where business people are travelling most within Africa.

Here are the top 10 cities for business trips in Africa:

Marrakech, Morocco 

Marrakech leads with 1,221 geotagged posts. It’s not just a popular place for tourists but also for business travellers. The city’s mix of old and new makes it a great spot for meetings and conferences. Morocco is also working hard to be a key player in the global business scene.

Lagos, Nigeria 

Lagos has 935 geotagged posts and is a major business centre in Nigeria and Africa. It’s home to the Nigerian Stock Exchange and many banks and tech startups, making it a bustling place for business activities.

Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town, with 572 posts, is known for its strong economy in tourism, renewable energy, and media. The city’s beautiful scenery and business opportunities draw many business travellers.
